Endless Mode · Google Trends, global search interest
Country Google Trends Quiz
How much does the world Google each country? The Google Trends score is a relative measure of search popularity. The United States, India, and the United Kingdom dominate the top of the list. Small countries with major recent news events (Ukraine after 2022, Qatar around the 2022 World Cup) spike for years afterward.
Cultural overweights
Japan and South Korea consistently outperform their population rank because of pop-culture exports (anime, K-pop). Brazil is a global Googling power. Iceland searches above its weight thanks to recurring news cycles — Eyjafjallajökull, the financial crisis, ongoing volcanic activity. Tiny island states (Tuvalu, Kiribati) sit at the bottom and search-volume for them is often zero outside of niche climate journalism.
